Lexington, GA, June 30th, 2000. CENTURION POULTRY, INC. TAKES OVER NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTION DEKALB Centurion Poultry, Inc. the North American Distributor for Hendrix Poultry Breeders, has announced that it has reached an agreement to take over all gdown streamh US operations formerly owned by the now defunct DeKalb Poultry Research, Inc. (DPRI) It consists of a layer breeder complex in Clarion, Iowa, a chick hatchery in Beaverdam, Wisconsin and a partnership in DeKalb-Ozark Hatcheries in Neosho, Missouri. Centurion Poultry, Inc. (CPI) will continue to operate the above mentioned facilities and aims at producing high quality hatching eggs and baby-chicks of the DEKALB brand of egg layers. Hendrix Poultry Breeders has acquired the gene pool and DEKALB trade names from DPRI and will continue maintaining a genetic selection program of the DEKALB brand of egg layers at the gstate of the arth facilities in the Netherlands where also the BOVANS and HISEX brands are bred. Re-current testing will be continued in North America and several other parts of the world. A spokesperson for CPI confirmed that the re-location of DEKALB Grand Parentstock from DPRIfs Illinois location to Georgia has already been completed. Mr. Gijs Schimmel, President of Centrurion Poultry, Inc., has stated that the addition of the former DPRI facilities are a further improvement of its market position in supplying the North American and Mexican Egg Industry with a choice of competitive egg layers. has announced that, effective July 1st. it will take over the
operation of the poultry farm at the Hancock avenue in Clarion, IA
formerly known as DeKalb Poultry Research, Inc.
Centurion Poultry, Inc. (CPI) will be operating the facility and will continue the production there of high quality hatching eggs to serve the egg industry with BOVANS and DEKALB layer chicks. Hendrix Poultry Breeders has acquired the DEKALB gene pool and trade names of DeKalb Poultry Research, Inc. and is committed to continue breeding the DEKALB brand of egg layers along side the BOVANS and HISEX brands. CPI, who also has operations in Georgia, Alabama, Wisconsin and Missouri, besides several franchise allied hatcheries in the USA and Canada, considers the addition of the Clarion location a further improvement of her market position in supplying the Egg Industry with a choice of competitive egg layers. TAKES OVER BEAVERDAM HATCHERY Centurion Poultry Inc., a Georgia based Corporation, who is the North American Distributor for Hendrix Poultry Breeders, has announced that, effective July 1st it has taken over the chick hatchery at the Stoddart Street in Beaverdam, WI formerly known as DeKalb Mid-America. This follows the sale of the hatchery to Centurion Poultry, Inc. who took over the ownership of the location from the now defunct DeKalb Poultry Research, Inc. based in DeKalb, IL. Centurion Poultry, Inc. (CPI) will continue the production of high quality baby-chicks of the BOVANS and DEKALB brand of egg layers at the location. Hendrix Poultry Breeders has acquired the DEKALB gene pool and trade names of DeKalb Poultry Research Inc., and is committed to continue breeding the DEKALB brand of egg layers along side the BOVANS and HISEX brands. CPI, who also has operations in Georgia, Alabama, Iowa and Missouri, besides several franchise allied hatcheries in the USA and Canada, considers the addition of the Beaverdam location a further improvement of her market position in supplying the Egg Industry with a choice of competitive egg layers.
